Smokey could produce a Classic Champagne, Amber Champagne, Gold Champagne, Black, Bay, or Chestnut foal when bred to a Black, Bay or Chestnut mare. With a laid back disposition and a smooth natural gait, let Smokey put some color, chrome and walk into your foals!
About The Champagne Gene
The champagne gene dilutes the coat color similar to the cream gene that produces palominos, buckskins and smokey blacks. The difference is the champagne gene also dilutes black points to a shade of chocolate, dilutes the skin to pink (exposed skin will tan and may appear to be dark from a distance), and dilutes the eye color to a warm amber or hazel. To learn more about the champagne gene and how to identify it, please visit the International Champagne Horse Registry by clicking on the link below.
